We started 88 protest in my city called Taunggyi, Shan state, that was in 1988. I was 15 years old studying at year 8. I still can see what happened on the day 8th of August in 1988. In the morning around 7 AM I went to school, its can say early because school start at 8:15, when I arrived at school one of my friend asked me to go with him and told me his plan for the day and i agreed on this plan. His name was San Thu Rah , Year 8 high school student (He was died at age 25 in middle of Burma while taking his Duty. ) we both study in the same school and we went to other High school 4 , and joined with few friends there , almost 20 students waiting outside of the school and we are talking about our plan to do for protest Government. Few minutes passed we have not much time left so we decided to move to located placed about 5 minutes walk. We have the same just 20 students arrived our located place and we all quiet the time for waiting to start our mission. The time was counting down to 1988 - August 8 - 8 AM - 8 Minutes and 8 second (8888) we started to protest the Government and we started march on the Zaw ti Ka road and march to our high school-1 and headed to General Aung San Park. Some of my friends used Bicycle and my friend San Thu Rah took his "Lone gyi" (Burmese student Uniform ) he made flag and we marched to Aung san park , Students and people joined slowly and when we arrived to the park there were more than 100 students and people together. We went inside the park and we salute General Aung san and we make promise not to give up till get Democracy we will keep fighting for the government. After 9:30 AM we walked along the Our city named "Main Road" now changed as Aung san road, we marched exit city of Taunggyi. People and students more than 300 joined on our protest and market, store , and everyone supported food , water and medicine that we need ,afternoon around 2 PM our protest was more agreed by people and more than 800 joined on the first day. After one week we took the city and blocked all military connection including food supplies to military basic need, also other cities around the Burma every where all students and people took the city and we have controlled non violent .Between two months the military government was quiet and non respond on students actions after 2 months later Military government Chair man Nay Win , announced on Public Radio and on Television , "Military government never shot to the sky if we shoot we will shoot to the target" then started to shoot and crackdown in Burma . In my city they started shoot at night, they started shoot at around 8:30 PM and before they shoot electric was turned off whole city. 2 men one woman and 2 students where shot killed on the first time of shooting in my City that was not far from my house 2 Kilometer away general aung san park. Around 10 PM there military arrived more truck in the city and shooting in to the window if they see the light even candle light on. The next day of my city was like cemetery, market closed, city exit way closed, and every where full with Military soldiers and also death toll was a raised.
