Wisdom-based TechnologyThis short clip shows one of the reports by the senior cadet at the end of the elective course "Wisdom-based Technology and Strategic National Security" at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy. In this course, cadets had to examine the role of technology which was used in printing King Chulachomklao of Siam Tipiṭaka Edition, over a century ago. These students also learned how to use open-source technology to create their own website to present their ideas. From the class discussions, they finally learned how to read history and integrate their understanding with the knowledge of the world's Tipiṭaka heritage, Thailand's socio-economic context and appropriate technology --all of which are some fundamental factors for the national security consideration of the future international community. Most importantly, they finally began to understand the difference between knowledgebase and Wisdombase. The course is offered in the second semester by Law & Social Science Department CRMA.
