Feb 13, 2008 - If you listen to Berardi he explains that long,slow distance cardio training i.e running does little to maximise muscle growth,enhance cardio,and therefore increase your metabolic rate.you need to up the tempo with intervals and do weighttraining. millions of muscle depleted ,weak marathon runners are testament to this.
