http://www.spike.com/profile/CinemassacreThought I'd finally post this. Just another video I've been holding onto for a rainy day (since last December). It's not worth re-exporting & re-compressing the video just to change the end logo, so stop asking why it says "2007".

Nov 19, 2008 - Kung Fu movies are known to slightly speed up their footage to make it look better :)

jp3813 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Not JC's films. In order for you to do that, you need to shoot at a slow camera speed so that the movements would look faster on normal playback. JC does the opposite b/c their movements are too fast for the camera's normal speed to record right. In Hollywood films, instead of speeding up the camera to match JC's speed, he is asked instead to slow down his movements. JC mentions these incidents in many interviews like this: watch?v=J2fu-hZVcbg

Nov 19, 2008 - Brad Wong is based on Jackie's Drunken Master. Hence, Brad Wong does a Jackie Chan.

Nov 19, 2008 - I never liked Jackie Chan's hollywood movies (Rush hour series, Shanhai noon/knights). Not because they sucked, but they simply failed to matched the awesomeness of his Hongkong films. Old-school Jackie Chan is GAR.

Nov 19, 2008 - Ok I hate movies, why? Because i hate them, there is nothing special, but except Fighting movies like all Jackie Chan movies and with Jet Li movies. Why I like them? Because you must be expert at fighting and you must train all the time and really hard. This is the point why I watching that kind of movies

Nov 19, 2008 - Drunken master was entertaining. I loved the part where he goes nuts.

jp3813 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Jackie uses the drunken fist style in three films: Drunken Master (1978), Drunken Master 2 (1994, aka The Legend of Drunken Master - 2000 US), and The Forbidden Kingdom against Jet Li. Since popularizing the style, several characters have paid homage to him including Rock Lee from Naruto, Lei Wulong from Tekken, Chu from Yu Yu Hakusho, Brad Wong from DOA, Jacky Chun from Dragon Ball, etc... Jet Li also spoofed the style in the parody film The Last Hero in China.
