Nov 19, 2008 - i am so goddamn tired of people accusing Obama of being a socialist. If you stimulate the a majority of the country, you will stimulate the economy. By the way we nationalized the banks yesterday so we already are "socialists!"
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Several. First, his claim that he'll lower taxes on 95% of people. Only 60% of people in this country even pay taxes, therefore he cannot lower taxes rates for 95%. What he's refering to is his refundable tax credit, which isnt a tax credit, but rather a check written to these people from the government out of the pockets of those who already pay higher taxes than others. Another one, is Obama's claim that he wont raise cap gains on small business. One prob, small businesses dont pay cap gains..
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Um, as a small business owner i can tell you that i will fall into this tax increase bracket and i certainly dont gross anywhere near 250k. Furthermore, the top income earners already pay a disproportionately high tax rate compared to other people. Top 10% already pay I think well over half of all the taxes in this country. Yet they are "greedy" because they dont want to fork out over half their paycheck. Spin it however you want, Obama is an income redistribution socialist, plain and simple.
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Sure i can, i just did.
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I'd like to see the demographic on people voting for Obama vs those voting for McCain, i'm sure you will find the majority of more self-sufficient people on the right. Considering the democrat party is currently in the business of buying votes from the parasite class. The democrat party has become overun with people with socialistic ideals, why do they get endorsed by american communist party election after election? Now they have a candidate who wants to "spread the wealth". So dangerous..
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - He is, a socialist sir. There are two philosophies of governance on the line here sir, socialism and capitalism. Republicans have spent like democrats over the last 8 years, but the philosohpy of the base does not support this spending. It's 2 ideologies, but one works and one doesnt, proven historically. Republicans are simply the lesser of two evils. Democrats pander to people with handouts and want to take more money from people who already pay more taxes than other people. = more socialist.
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Might i also remind you that the majority of small businesses are sole proprietorships, i stand by my original statement.
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Yes because looks and the abilty to give a speech are all that matters for the presidency.
Seduns Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Agreed, it aint over yet. I love to see the negative comments when someone posts an opposing view. Silence the opposition, just like the democrats want to do with the "fairness doctrine". Silencing the opposition, kids singing to their ruler, the major networks in the bag for one candidate, & redistribution of people's money.. it stinks of an oppresive commie rule doesnt it? Sure are similar characteristics here.
jahotgal01 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - In this day and age most are LLC's sole proprietorships are very risky insurance wise and leaves you at a disadvantage of losing your life savings and home if something goes wrong. Check your own secretary of state website if you think I am wrong.Obama 08
jahotgal01 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Obama is not a socialist he just knows that you cannot start from the top and hope that the wealth comes down. The back bone of any society is the middle class. If they are doing good the country is doing good. It is simple logic. That is why people have to call some mcain supporters racist because if the way mcain wants to run the country and continue the tax credits for the rich works why are we in the state we are in now?? So it must be that you are a racist why you cannot see that 1+1=2
jdv86 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - You keep talking like Socialism is fucking evil. Go look at other countries that are "socialist" and look at how their citizens live. Free health care, for example. I'll give you a clue, you can find some on the list of countries that are currently help bail us out of the economic sinkhole we've put ourselves in.
QvJLP90 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - This is just so funny I can't stop watching it. "...the abilty to give a speech are all that matters for the presidency"No, my dear, for the first time since before the 2000 election, BRAINS are what matters. People are tired of having a moron in the whitehouse, and we cannot afford another one. McCain seems like a nice guy but please, people, you're not choosing a drinking buddy. And if he dies... "president palin"? We'd be doomed! McCain as pres we could survive but not HER as pres!

Nov 19, 2008 - jahotgal, I find it hard to respect the opinion of somone that does not even know the English language. The middle class can never "do good", however, it can do well. If cannot even speak the language, you truly must not be educated well enough to understand economics.

Pianoroark Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - What? Isn't this post a "negative comment" in response to opposing views in itself? You can't have it both ways, dude. And give me a break. No right-minded person in the U.S., republican or democrat, wants the exaggerated communist vision you just spit out. How people like you can actually believe that raising taxes on the top 5% of wealth in the country is worse than giving that same money to the poorest people in the country through government-financed aid programs is beyond me.
gapssecond Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Karl Marx said that socialism was a transitional phase between capitalism and communism. Vote Obama, vote socialism. You know what comes next. I say no on government control. I don't want my free democracy to come to an end. Spread the wealth? Forget it. And, I'm just an underpaid teacher, but take from the rich and give to the poor? Forget that.
