Nov 19, 2008 - I never said I'd eat if you read carefully.. and of course by eat I mean consume and digest all the edible flesh that is wrapped around the bones.

zacksanass Says:

dnHooligan Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - twasn't radiation.it was these pills called cytoxin, err sytoxin.took em in preschool & freshman year to vanquish nephronic syndrome.the second time worked like a charm...i (literally) haven't been sick since 1991. (freshman year)

Nov 19, 2008 - People need to find something more interesting than making more people.

UnderseaCaveman Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Exactly..... check out "Arithmetic, population and energy" by Albert Barlett! (google video)

Nov 19, 2008 - Wow... that's a good chemo story, actually. (My Queen works with cancer data- we get a lot of sick 411 through here) Man... cytoxan (trade name) is a classic "good" dioxin... scary. For nephronic syn... congenital? ARE YOU FINNISH?!?!? L0Lz. I don't wanna bug out here, but how do you feel about vaccines?

dnHooligan Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - i'm irish.i don't trust the AMA. (vaccines, drugs, nothin)

BobForehead Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Didn't think so RE: trus' 'em; you are wise, young Hooligan. I was looking up nephronicz (nephrotic?!?) and got hits for mercury vaccine effects. Heavy biochem action... man, that pisses the honey some... "let's use mercury in it!!! Then we have something to lie about other than flouride!"

dnHooligan Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - sum'm to do wit d filters in da kidneys. i ain't really looked into it...all i know is i haven't had a problem since 1991.

FeelFreeToArgue Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - This is one of the hardest issues there is - so primal, so much cultural/religious/societal pressure factoring into people's decisions.Does China have the answer? If they do, expect riots when you try to go worldwide w/ that answer. The pope would declare a jihad!I know population growth is a huge problem, but sometimes I think Malthus was right when he asserted the only meaningful checks on human population are war & disease. I don't want him to be right, but I have no better answer.

BobForehead Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - It's a rabbit hole... Hey, happy 5th.

gik130 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - This world is over run by people! And its over run by condoms because people never use them! Especially chavs!

Nov 19, 2008 - Gross looking person.

givebirthathome Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - He was wrong, or perhaps we could say, he might have been right in his time, but he is not wrong in ours. The US had achieved ZPG in the 60's, but our government decided to increase the level of population through immigration, because they wanted to preserve our size relative to the rest of the growing world.Pleasant distraction and birth control are meaningful checks on human population. Iran is successfully controlling their growth through female education and condoms, now.

givebirthathome Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - I've corresponded with fundamentalist Christians who oppose the use of birth control because they think God said in Genesis, "be fruitful and multiply"--I point out that the job is done and maybe we should stop now, to little avail. They often try to browbeat married women who are at the margin of their strength taking care of the kids they have, to have more. Meanwhile the Islamic Republic of Iran has the most successful *voluntary* population control on the planet...

FeelFreeToArgue Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Intersting and thoughtful answer, thank you. It gives me some hope for the future. I think we can still agree that this is a very emotional issue for a lot of people, but I'm heartened that it seems at least possible to broadly influence public opinion on the matter.Do you know if there has ever been a succesful campaign to curb the birth rate in a heavily Catholic nation? Not being combative, just curious.

givebirthathome Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Yes, we can certainly agree that it is an emotional issue! We're at the tragic levels of population we are now, because the technologies for birth control weren't spread due at least in part to people's fear of uncontrolled sex.Just googled negative population growth-totally fertility rates in Spain, Italy, etc. are below replacement levels. We can and should be heartened: left in peace to develop modern societies, people spontaneously control population.

givebirthathome Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Whoops-meant to say, "he is wrong in ours".

xxmonickkkkaxx Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - UNEP has an idea of what sustainability is, through Agenda 21 they are going to quarantine our asses and starve us, in order to acheive susstainability.
