We are the only contributers on helping John Richards raise breeding turtles coz, once they out grow your thank for 11, or 12 years of age, you can ship the turtle back to John. Then he will arrange on shipping you back a hatchling with no rip offs.

Nov 19, 2008 - I was in Missouri yesterday and drove to his farm with my navigation-just as it got dark... It was way off road in the boone docks and i pulled up in a gold suv and dogs were barking, i backed out of his driveway and headed back to the main road and in seconds heard a GUN SHOT into the air. Nov 19, 2008 - Thats cool,:o) Did you ever get a chance to meet him?? I live live way over here in Seattle Washington, and snapping turtles are illigal here in this state. While talking to him on the phone, he was a little scared to ship out a baby hatchling in this state. So what i did was, i bought a big 13 inch specimen from a local pet shop, and i shipped to him, after a little negotiations with him on the phone.

Nov 19, 2008 - He then agreed to ship me out one baby male, and later, i bought a female out of my own pocket from him as well. I shipped him the 13 inch monster first on 2nd day, then he shipped me back the two turtles. The alligator snapping turtles that i got from him are none related siblings. That means, they came form different batches, and both are not brother and sister.
