Three years ago today hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans, sending the city into a tailspin its still reeling from. Now, the Gulf States are preparing for another dangerous hurricane that has already claimed the lives of at least 71 as it passed through Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. A category 4 or 5 storm, Gustav is predicted to make landfall around New Orleans sometime on Monday evening. Despite all the awareness as a result of Katrina, no shelter has been planned for New Orleans, according to the Associated Press.
