Nov 19, 2008 - using a transformer in reverse to get the highvoltage output. This ting is drivered with a second transformer(ac to ac adapter connected to mains), the step-up transformer is bridge-rectified to get around 300VDC and charge the capacitor bank.

Nov 19, 2008 - What you do is square the voltage, 200*200 = 40000. Then you multiply the capacititence my the last answer, 0.00196*40000 = 78.4. Then divide the whole lt by 2, 78.3/2 = 39.2Jsimple, check out my coilgun, too expensive to go to my 6 stage, got 4KJ worth of capacitors at 450VDC
