i haven't done 225 in awhile. i raised my speed bench set up to 315. even in my crappy state tonight, i was just one rep shy of a PR on these. i think next week i will try them again and try to crush a PR. christopher drummondteam staley sponsored athletewww.staleytraining.com

Nov 19, 2008 - Rawelite, I know this is your speed day, but on some other exercises like elbows out extensions and shoulder pressing you do a high rep range for a PL'er. How comes if you don't mind me asking?

rawelite Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - i actually don't do a true speed day with the typical 3x8. i find that it really tears my shoulders up. i do one speed set after my ME stuff. elbow's out is an accessory movement and i usually go higher on that stuff. it helps with hypertrophy and recovery. but i do go heavy on that stuff as well. i play it all by feel. the really high rep push presses are a form of speed work i do after a heavy shoulder press.

Nov 19, 2008 - man dont you get warm wearing all those clothes while you work out? haha nice work.

rawelite Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - that's actually the point. i get cold in the AC and when that happens the joints and muscles tighten up.
