So, this is kind of like watching Semi Homemade on TFN! This is a non-spicy chili. I serve it with some bread, and the amount of the chili I make here serves the two of us for about four meals. Here are my ingredients; which you can vary according to your own taste:1 large or two small onions, dicedseveral cloves of fresh garlic, minced1 large can of crushed tomatoes1 can of pinto beans, drained and rinsedA pack of chili seasoning1 or 2 pound package of ground beef, depending on your preference2 green peppersBrown your ground beef, onions, and garlic. I always add salt and pepper to taste with this. Do not drain the juice when finished browning; transfer everything to a big pot and add your chili seasoning, beans, crushed tomatoes and green peppers. Cook on a low-medium heat for approximately an hour and a half, stirring occasionally, until your peppers are nice and soft. You can also serve your chili with sour cream and cheese, if you like that. :)Simple and hearty! Reheats well.EDIT: You guys, this stuff is all gone, in three servings! LOL! Hubby ate a good chunk of it and wants me to make some more TOMORROW!

Nov 19, 2008 - Oh man i was drooling watching that. Looked delicious. Do you use cumin powder in your chilli. I was just wondering if it was in with that sachet of chilli powder mix you put in. If you put extra cumin in it makes it hot hot hot lol and so tasty. I like that you make it proper chunky and a big pan full. Can't be mithering with these farty little portions some people make. Anyway looks scrummy and guess what i'm gonna be making now for dinner today hehe. xxxhugsxxx

Nov 19, 2008 - I don't use anything but the spice packet I pick up in the grocery store but I use cumin on my chicken when I bake it all the time, I love love love cumin! When I make turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas it goes all over the bird and everyone always wants to know my secret spices! It's yummmy. HAHAHA! Gotta be a big amount, my hubby loves to eat! And I'm all about chunky! Thanks sweetie!

Nov 19, 2008 - I would like to thank you on teaching me on how to cook chili. I did mainly everything you did except I added cumin and I drained the meat because it wasn't lean. It was delicious and my boyfriend loved it too!! Thanks again!

Nov 19, 2008 - Thxs alot for this video.. I was looking for this thing in couple days. I gonna make it for supper any way. Well thxs again.

magicxmaid Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - I drained the meat on mine too, I had to. I think I used something like the 80/20, not the 93/7 which doesn't leave a lot of grease at all. I think cumin would make a great addition, I love the flavor and smell of that spice! Sounds fabulous and you're totally welcome!

magicxmaid Says:
