"I remember that shirt. Every time I came over to your house, you would make me go in the closet and look at it glow in the dark.""It was a pretty cool shirt."She ran her fingers through my bangs. "I can't believe you took me back.""Me?" I said surprised. "I can't believe YOU took ME back. I was the one who messed everything up.""But I was a real jerk.""Let me tell you a secret," I whispered. "No matter what you do, I'm still gonna love you." I saw that she was wearing the locket I had given her way back when I first asked her to be my girlfriend. I held it with one hand while keeping her pulled close to me with my other arm. "You're wearing the locket.""Yeah.""I can't believe you kept this.""I couldn't get myself to get rid of it.""I'm glad.""Do you remember the night you gave it to me? You thought you were so smooth.""Hey, I was smooth.""I will give you points for the whole eyes closed, sneaking the kiss on me. When I found out we were leaving, I knew I had to do it before we left, but typical me, I left it to the last minute.""I had liked you for a long time too.""I wish I had known that back then.""All that matter is we're together now, and we've got an entire tour to spend together.""You got that right," I said and then kissed her lips softly. Then I let my lips linger on hers a little longer before I slowly pulled back. She looked at me and then blushed and looked down again. "Why do you keep doing that?" I asked, laughing a little. "It's just, there are so many girls out there right now and all over that would do anything to be in my position right now.""Well, I guess you're just the luckiest of them all.""All right, let's not get all cocky now.""Look, Riley, you've been there for me for practically forever. You were there through all the ups and downs. You're one of the only people who've seen me cry. You know all my secrets. "Riley, are you sure you're gonna be okay by yourself?" Denise asked me."Yes, I told you, I'm not gonna let you miss your boys performing their first big show.""If you're sure...""I am.""Okay, but if anything at all happens, call me or Kevin, okay? Now go before you miss their big start."Once they were gone, I sighed and collapsed on the couch. I hadn't been feeling well pretty much since I woke up from my nap, but I didn't wanna ruin this day for anyone, so I pretended I was fine. I looked up at the screen and watched the boys start playing. I watched a whole song, but then I had to turn away. Even the low intensity was bothering me. When I realized I didn't have much time left, I decided I had to call someone."Hey, Rye, you okay?" Denise asked. "Um I don't feel so good.""What's wrong?""I just feel out of it. I think...""Riley? Riley?" she said, but I was already gone. ---sorry kinda a lame cliff. Sorry if i'm going slow, but I think i mentioned that i normally write novels so i'm into the whole detail lol.
