John f Kennedy and crew of PT 109 is rammed by destroyer, swim to Plum Pudding Island, and are found and saved by natives Biuku Gasa and Eroni Kumana, who never got to meet JFK who invited them to his inauguration. Eroni is still on the island, and we never got any interest in sending him to visit President Bush (or Obama??)
