Nov 18, 2008 - MMA haves no change versus wing chun or muay thai

deul6 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - you have no idea

dgmon174 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - HAHAHAHA. MMA stands for "Mixed Martial Arts" so I can assure you that Muay Thai and other styles of fighting are involved there. So . . .I think MMA would have a pretty good chance against muay thai and wing chun. LMAO.

edmun09 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - you're a fucking idiot hoo has no respect for other martial arts. MMA would kick any other martial art's butt, because MMA is all of them fusioned! So shut up dick wad!

sadjad007 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - it al depends on the fighter not the martialart.

unrulyrascal Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Mischa. Where have you been the last ten years? MMA crushes single-style martial arts.

EpicurusThirteen Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Two things: One, many MMA fighters also study Muay Thai. So I'm not even sure what to say about your statement. And a guy who ONLY knows muay thai is going to be massacred by a well-rounded fighter - indeed, that has happened many, many times, very decisively. And Wing Chun? What are you basing that on? Wing Chun has generally had very poor performance against other styles, and least of all against a good grappler. Please show some concrete evidence of your claims?

14Templar88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I have to disagree there bro.MMA fighters are more well-versed then the average martial arts purist.Depends on the fighter YES,Not until he trains in all phases of combat.Even if the purist is stronger the mma fighter still has more options in terms of technique. Therefore the mma fighters have the upper hand already:)

14Templar88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I kinda get tired when ppl time to time keep saying 'its the fighter'.Im sure the fighter plays a part too definitely but what about the ART?Take TKD vs MMA for example. If both fighters are of the same caliber,im sure the mma fighter has the upper hand.

sadjad007 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - well in the tkd martial art school were i am they sometimes give lessons in grappling techs. like mma fighters too. :)

14Templar88 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - thats cool man.. At least you understand TKD on its own is not very effective.I take MT sometime ago and still am.I also do MMA to learn to ''mix it up''.

irai1984 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - dude.. without the person there would be no 'art'.. its kinda like the chicken before the egg (vise-versa). MMA wouldn't exist if it weren't for the development of other fighting systems. Furthermore, martial systems didn't spawn out of thin air, they were developed after a lot of war death and suffering...

sarcastickraut Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Let's all remember that MMA was mostly developed for "the Otagon" and other martial arts competitions with rules and a ref. Can someone recommend a good video or other source of information about MMA training purely for self-defence (street fight)?
