Thanks everyone for their wonderful videos here on YouTube. I found a whole bunch of great train videos of the TGV and I just had to add one I shot when I was 18. My family went to Europe in 1986 and I brought along a new invention a home video camera and a portable vcr ( Camcorders were around but they were delicate and expensive ). I shot this with my a Cannon VC-40 I think which had a single 2/3" Saticon color pick up tube. The VCR was a Portable Cannon VR-30 I think and was VHS I recorded it in 2hrs speed. I think at this time the TGV would run at about 170mph. Could some one check on that for me as I am not completely sure of it. Anyway it was quite an amazing thing to see a train move at those speeds "back in the day". I hope you like it.
